Oh my gosh

62 today, the sun felt warm, what day and month is it anyway?  Finished the binding on the citrus quilt and it looks soo good on my eldest child's bed, cheery and bright and happy.
Aaahhh.   Maybe there will be a photo one of these days.   Did some "spring cleaning" to celebrate the lovely weather so the house feels a bit tidier and fresher, with the windows open a lovely mid-winter airing. Another - Aaahhhh!   My youngest is getting the last of his cars inspected today and looks like he has a couple to put up for sale again, lovely..

2's-day

It is really not worth taking ourselves too seriously.  Started my afghan and then ripped it all out, and started again.  The binding on my summer quilt is taking forever to finish and I am working on a rug-hooking project that I think is now in year 3.  Oh my! And we went from freezing cold with all the cat's dishes frozen and icy snow on the ground to icy fog yesterday and today here it is 49 and sunny, oh my.  Good moods, bad moods, nice weather, foul, lots of dizzying turns all around.

a sparkly January day

Lovely bright sunshine today, though it has not made it above freezing, it is feeling like we are moving back towards the sun even though the air is chill.  The cat has not minded being outside today after sleeping in the house most of yesterday.
I am starting an ambitious design project - an intarsia knit blanket inspired by Aztec and southwest Indian motifs. I am begun to graph out the designs and colors in all kinds of crazy wool hues.
The summer quilt is at the binding stage and the holiday quilt has many blocks to go.  I like to have several projects going at once, that use my hands differently, to escape repetitive stress injuries.
I hope the new year is progressing nicely for all.

New Year

I feel I really should say something, the new year is quickly unfolding.  We had a brief arctic spell, but warming is starting again. So far a lovely winter, with just quick bits of snow and then warm spells.
Yesterday we opened with a lovely pink dawn, this morning is quite silvery.  I have been making wooly hats for the cold weather and working on a bright summer quilt of oranges and aquas and yellows to brighten the gray days.  The Christmas cactus flower quilt also is on the sewing table, 9 blocks of the flower done, 11 more to go and then on to the log cabin blocks.
Hope that all are enjoying this new year and finding lovely ways to take care of themselves.
