The bumble bees came to hover over the blossoms and bump into the house.

Misty

Ground mist, then a cloud descending, in the still green leafy light.

Another finish

A finish for the June show, not sure I can reveal it, will follow-up later.

Cool rain

The gentlest of showers is kissing open the tulips and daffodils this morning.

Ahh, spring

Rose gold blush dusk to bright and brilliant cerulean blue sky dotted with pink peach and almond blossoms this morning.

50's

Tulips popping open like bright red and yellow lollipops.

Storms

Rain through the night into the morning, sweeping out the heat, greening the grass.

Thursday

Pink, lavender, and blue striped sunrise like a lovely circus tent in the sky this morning.
Delicate pink peach blossoms dotting the garden.

Third day in the 80's

The whirlwind of meetings, classes and cleaning has slowed a bit.  The heat is slowing us down, such a switch after snow last week.  The peach blossoms are blushing, the forsythia shining, the tulip buds swelling.

Meetings and cleaning

Commitments and responsibilities are keeping me busy.  Worked on a piece for the historical Hanover show in July yesterday.  Not sure what I am painting in class today, we shall see.

no photos as yet

Started spring cleaning, distracted from photos.  Art guild board meeting tonite, first round of pr fairly successful.  Lots of robins in the yard yesterday.

A few finsihes

I have been finishing up several wall-hangings. Spring is seeming like a real possibility rather than a tease and the works are celebrating that theme. Hopefully I will have some pics to share soon.

Abstract paintings on display at Arts Guild

A series of acrylic on canvas paintings entitled "Mechanism" by Hanover artist Kirby Heltebridle are on display at this month's Hanover Area Arts Guild all-member show. The show, which features abstract work by well-known local painters, is open for viewing at the Hanover Arts Guild on Carlisle Street in downtown until the end of April.

Milder morning

The sun is gently rising amidst the scattered clouds.  The merest of breezes are stirring.  The house is asleep and the street quiet. A lovely start to a day that holds the promise of warmth.

Anniversary

A lovely rococo dawn, gold and pink and cerulean blue.  Orange marmalade almond scones warm from the oven.  Gentle adventures in the day ahead.

Winter is on exhibit

Winter is in the latest art guild show, finished a spring wall-hanging yesterday, photos to follow.

My goodness

House fire first thing Saturday morning, car crash on the corner this morning, dear me enough foolishness.  Hope all are well and safe and sound.

April fools

Of course we are all fools, the birds and squirrels are all out chasing and calling with the first morning that feels like spring, so lovely!  The air smells fresh, the grass is just starting to green, the lilac buds are swelling, the tulip leaves thrusting up, oh my, it does make one a bit giddy.
