Hanover's 250th birthday

My goodness so much going on, Hanover's 250th birthday, Gettysburg Battle's 150th.  We heard the Pixie's 3 sing some of their hits from the 60's..  They were 5 years ahead of me at Penn Street school, named for the ubiquitous Pixie cut we were all given for the summers back here before air conditioning was prevalent.  The most memorable song they sang was Chapel of Love when they went into the crowd for a sing-a-long.  Odd bending of time forward and backward.

Solstice

Beautiful evening at the lake, watching the moon rise and the sun set as the boaters glided across the lake and the martins above the grass.

Rock'n and Roll'n

An amazing thunderstorm blew through this morning, half inch of rain in 15 minutes, hail, lightning and thunder the works, quite a show.

Looks like a hot one

75 and climbing, got the hot work out of the way so I can run a few errands and quilt in the a/c.  Quiche is baked, groceries laid in.  Travelers preparing for their day's journey.

Storms cleared out

Thank heavens, the humidity is a bit lower and the rain holding off for awhile, mighty tropical out there right now.  Nice to have a break.  Worn out a bit from high intensity of work and challenges, hoping things are a bit more peaceful today.

Gorgeous morning

Beautiful, cool and sunny morning a wonderful relief after the heat of last week,  So lovely to turn off the air-conditioners and fans and hear the birds and open the blinds and see the leaves dancing in the breeze.
