Off to the marsh again

Hope to see the trout lilies in bloom today, last week the skunk cabbage was just finishing blooming. An amazing fact about the trout lily or dogtooth violet is that is grows in colonies that may be as old as 300 years, we are viewing them near where my ancestor, George Ross, set up an iron furnace during the Revolutionary War, they may have been around since then, wow.
