Winter is wearing us out

8 degrees this morning, to warm up the next few days, but not last. We are all beginning to feel a little winter weary, but we have certainly been blessed not to get the big dumps of snow that have fallen elsewhere.  The weekend may be in the 40's which will be lovely! The first sign of spring was the other day when we heard the mourning doves calling, some of our first nesters.  When we broke the seed pots off the rose of sharon, the stems showed bright green. Some years we have seen the crocuses rising by now,  but the ground has been very cold this winter, so no signs as yet.
